SPOT LAUNCHES NEW SISTER COMPANY & PROPRIETARY SOFTWARE BRAND, RED TECHNOLOGIES

September 23, 2020

Spot Freight Inc. (Spot), one of the fastest-growing logistics companies in North America, is pleased to announce that it has launched a new sister company and brand for its proprietary software. Red Technologies is a transportation management solution that connects shippers, carriers, and drivers while providing complete visibility into their supply chain operations. The brand launch also includes a new logo and website (redtms.com).

As the logistics industry has continued to play a prevalent role in transporting vital goods during the COVID-19 pandemic, having the right technology in place to increase efficiency and streamline communication has become increasingly important.

The Red Technologies platform incorporates three components:

  1. Transportation Management System (TMS)provides shippers with a way to manage their logistics operations through real time visibility, freight optimization, and customized reporting. API/EDI integrations are also available.
  2. Carrier Portal – allows carriers to garner unlimited access to their freight by easily accepting/rejecting shipments, receiving notifications on matching shipments, and more.
  3. Driver Mobile App – available on the App Store & Google Play, truck drivers can manage and search for loads on the go while updating their current location, submitting necessary shipment paperwork, and more.

“While operating Spot, my business partner Andrew Elsener and I knew that there had to be a better way to use technology versus basic “out-of-the-box” software. This is how Red Technologies was born in 2015, and we’ve been perfecting the software ever since,” said Andy Schenck, Red Technologies Co-Founder. “Over the course of the past year, we’ve quadruped the size of our in-house development team, allowing for us to further customize the TMS, carrier portal, and mobile app prior to today’s official launch.”

Red Technologies currently employs 50 developers at its headquarter location in Indianapolis. The company plans to continue hiring over the next several years.
